Busy week ahead
We were going to go to Iowa City last night to see RJ for the night. However Dominic ran a fever Wednesday night and Thursday and complained of a sore ear so we ended up staying home. RJ came home and then drove back this morning. He is home again tonight and tomorrow. Took Mackenzie last night to get her hair cut. It was to the middle of her back. She has been saying for a month that she wanted to get it cut, but I kept waiting to make sure that is what she really wanted. Now it is to the middle of her neck. Short, but a very cute look for her. She is happy and so am I. Hopefully there won't be much complaing of me pulling it when I brush it now. Though it is short enough now that she can brush it herself with no problem. We have my grandmothers 75 birthday party tomorrow. I love my grandma. She is my step grandmother but has always treated us as one of her own. She is a very kind, generous and sweet women. After the party my sister J is coming to stay for the week. She has three children who will be with also. It will be a crazy busy week for sure, but lots of fun. I cannot wait. The kids play good together for the most part. I do admire J because she has no problem taking care for five children for long stretches of time. I will be working all week while she is home with them. I will try my hardest to give her a break in the evenings. I know she will certainly deserve at least that much. Maybe I will try to sneak her a Starbucks treat on my way home. My step sister J delivered her twin girls this morning. They weighed in at 2 lbs 10 oz and 2 lbs 12 oz. They were both breathing on their own and were doing as well as could be expected for being so very early. They were not due until September 7th.

I remember my mom cutting both my sister's hair AND mine just because my sister compained. I looked like a boy.. she didn't. It sucked.
