Need advice

WOW! A month! I guess we have been busy. No idea where the time goes.
I shouldn't ask this, since I have not been a very good blogger, but I really need some advice, quick.
R's best friend is getting married next month. It is out of town. R is in the wedding. We just found out last night that the reception is for adults only. The kids can attend the rehearsal and dinner Friday night and the wedding on Saturday, but not the reception. What can we do with our children? This is a second wedding for the bride and groom. The bride has a daughter that is the same age as our M. The biggest problem is, R's nephew is getting married the following weekend and his family is going to be busy preparing for that so asking them to babysit is out of the question. I feel bad for my daughter because she was really looking forward to this.

We went to an out-of-town wedding and the bride had arranged for two nannies to care for the children of the out-of-town guests during the reception.

Since this doesn't seem to be an option with the wedding you'll be attending, I'm not sure what else to tell you. Is it possible to hire someone there? You can always call a nanny service. Or is there someone else attending that has teenagers who could babysit?

What a predicament.

Have a great time, anyway.

That's weird - I thought I had left a comment on this and spelled my name wrong. I did leave a comment on this though?

What did you end up doing? We had a kid friendly wedding because I wouldn't want to put anyone in this situation - but man, if you watch our wedding video online - one of Tom's nephews screamed his guts out in the tiny chapel the entire time. I wish they would have done something!! If Faith had screamed - I would have had a heart attack! Well, she did cry - but she was the flowergirl.. it was her party and she could cry if she wanted to.
