Babysitter Blues

Our babysitter fell on the ice Wednesday night and broke her leg. A year ago she had a knee replacement done. She broke her leg right below the replacement. She had to have surgery yesterday morning. I feel awful for her. She was really concerned about the parents being upset with her. I told her this was an act of nature and no one should be mad about it. I was a little stressed out about what we were going to do for daycare, but more concerned for her. Her husband works, but her daycare income really pays the bills. R had to work nights yesterday and today. I took a 1/2 day so I could come home both days so he could work. Just so happens that my sister who lives 3 hours away was coming into town this weekend. As weird as she can be (those who know her) she really loves kids and hers are well cared for. Same with mine when they are with her. My kids love their Aunt J. Thankfully, she has offered to take D home with her for the week. I am totally going to be lost without him next week, but he is already asking me to take him to Aunt J's house and is so excited to go. M is not so happy because she has school and cannot go. This is a great opportunity for some mom and daughter time. Monday night is Girl Scouts and I will be able to stay for the whole meeting. M mentioned a movie that she wants to see so we may do that one night. It will be good for both of us. Right now, I am getting a much needed break from her though. She went to Grandma's for the night. She will be gone until tomorrow afternoon. Things have been a little stressful with her. She has never ever ever been a good sleeper. She is almost 9 and still wakes most nights. I am beyond sleep deprived. The pediatrician is referring her to the University Sleep Clinic. I am so ready to get a professional opinion. I know this is the cause of her attention deficiet. I have said it all along. I cannot focus straight most days, I don't know how she can. The psychologist said the same thing. I don't know what this appointment will involve, but the peditrician said probably a sleep study and go from there. I will take anything at this point.
"Lord Jesus Christ, I surrender everything to you - my health, my thoughts, my plans, my desires, my whole life. Thank you for your welcoming arms and loving smile. Thank you, Jesus, for your desire and your power to make me whole".

Can I come with you all? Because I know my insomnia is the root of most of my problems.

I hope you all get really good solutions. I'll be anxious to see what they say!
