Last weekend we went to visit my sister J and her family in Cedar Falls. What a blast! We had so much fun. The kids played and us adults enjoyed some really great laughs. Mackenzie ended up staying there for the week. She really did not want to come home. I don't blame her. If I had to choose between having three cousins to play with or my 3 year old brother I would probably choose my cousins too. RJ is working in Iowa City for three weeks. He is able to come home a day or two out of the week. It was just Dominic and I this week - very strange. RJ and Mackenzie came home Thursday night and he left again this morning for work. He will be able to be home for Father's Day tomorrow though. Mackenzie and I went to Target last night and found some gifts (cheap!) that are right up his alley. He is going to love it. I wish we weren't so financially strapped. There are a few things that I would love to get him that I know he would enjoy and really use. Some day. Even though money is tight, I am really at peace right now in my life. We will be strapped for at least the next five years so I had better get used to it. We had to buy a new car. Our Escort served us well for a lot of years, but couldn't handle the high miles and died. We got a 2005 Dodge Neon. It is silver and cute. It has a CD player which the kids and I are loving! But, I am really getting tired of Disney Mania 5. I had heard the Cruella deVil song enough times. Dominic knows the song by heart. Our city is offering a free movie in the park every Saturday this summer. I think we will take the kids tonight to see Field of Dreams. We may see if one of Mackenzie's friends can go with. I am sure they probably will not watch, but at least they can run around and get worn out.
