Glad this week is done - for R's sake

R had such a weird week. Wednesday he called me at work and asked I had his car keys. I asked why I would have them and he said I used them to get M's coat out of his car that morning. Oops - they were in my coat pocket. Thankfully he had the day off and was just going to do some running around. Nothing too important. That night I cleaned out my purse and found his spare set in it. I gave them to him and told him to put them in the garage. Thursday he called me at work to tell me that he locked his keys and cell phone in the car while at the grocery store. He went to the customer service desk to use the phone and call me. The manager was standing there and asked him what the problem was. He told him and the manager offered to bring him home and get the spare set. That was very very nice. Just don't seem to find that kind of customer service around here much these days. Friday he went to the bank to get money to pay bills only to find that his check was not deposited. He got home and there was a message from work that direct deposits would not be available until Monday. GREAT! At least my check was enough to cover daycare for D and after school care for M. So I sit here a little depressed that we are broke until Monday. Oh well. Plus they got a new payroll system and somehow they put down for an extra $100 to be taken out for federal taxes! Ya right! He is trying to get that taken care of. Also he went to BN to collect his last paycheck and they did not have them. It is not much money, but it would be nice to have. Frustrating. We have a wedding reception to go to tonight. I am looking forward to that. D is going to stay with my sister. M is going with us. I have already done two loads of laundry, a load of dishes, cleaned off my kitchen counter and put things in their proper places. We took down our Christmas tree last night and I need to take that to the garage, vaccum every room in this house. M's room looks like a tornado ripped through it. So much to do, so little time. The kids have dentist appointments on Monday afternoon. I was going to take a half day, but there is not much work, so I am trying to get the whole day off. It will be great if I can because I really want to go through all of the toys and get rid of the stuff that is no longer needed. There are thing that need to be thrown away and things that can be donated. Here's to a better week.
