I am still here

Thank you for to those who posted comments and have been praying for our family situation. R is home. He is working at a local store two days this week. They will fill in his check with vacation time. The whole situation is really ridiculous. He had to sign a voluntary step-down form to go from management to part-time employee at an hourly wage. This is only for two weeks, because next week he will be going back to management at full-time salary pay to cover 5-8 weeks of medical leave for the manager at the store. So we are covered for the next couple of months. After that, it is all up in the air. R has been out applying for jobs. He had an interview yesterday at a local riverboat casino. The position is not what he thought he was applying for so that is probably not going to work out. We are not giving up hope that something bigger and better will come along.

It has been nice having him home though. He has been picking M up at school every day and helping her get homework done. A couple of times supper has been cooking when I get home. Yesterday he cleaned up the house from D's birthday party on Sunday. He is enjoying some time to himself during the day when everyone is gone. None the less, we are both anxious to get back to full-time employment.
