How do you explain to a 4 year old how long 5 months is? We have made it 4 months and he is pretty sure that this baby has to come out now. Not sure how to tell him it is going to be a lot longer. We tried the - after Christmas, after the snow melts, after Mackenzie's birthday. I have showed him a calender which of course had no meaning to him.

In other news, yes we are at 16 weeks. I see my OB in Jan 3 and the perinatologist on Jan 8. We will have a level 2 ultrasound done and maybe find out if I am growing a boy or girl. We have to find out. One of my children is going to be sorely disappointed and will need to be prepared ahead of time. After that appointment I will probably start to buy necessities - diapers, wipes, etc. I plan to atttempt breastfeeding again. I could not with Mackenzie, but did with Dominic. So it is a crap shoot. I am really hoping to be able to again. I enjoyed it with Dominic. We do have the big stuff - car seat, bassinet, crib, pack -n play, etc.

My sister is coming home this weekend. We are celebrating Christmas at my parents on Saturday. Lucky ducks are going to Florida for Christmas this year. On Sunday we are celebrating with my Moms side (my grandpa, aunts, uncles and cousins). Our Christmas will be quite this year without a lot of hussle and bussle. That is ok. I like being at home. We will go to my MIL on Christmas Day.
